What you said about recent our events
Each month we collect your feedback for some of our events via email. Please note that we ask for feedback from one-off type events rather than weekly events such as Leroc or Badminton. A BIG thank you to everyone who responded.
It really is invaluable to make sure we get write-ups correct and that the event is enjoyable for all our members. With restaurants it helps us to decide whether to go back again in the future. I read every comment fed back to us and take it on board when planning future events.
Please see below some comments sent to us from recent events.
Drum For Fun (Thurs. 30th April)
“Wow! Drum for Fun was a fab, uplifting and enlightening event. Much more than I envisaged - I am still buzzing now, the morning after! Not being musical at all, I never thought I could get so lost in creating so many sounds and actually enjoy contributing to a collective rhythm. From tentative little taps on our drums at the beginning of the session, we all grew into confident "musicians", creating an amazing circle of sound. I would recommend this event to everyone - a true Spice event - challenging, exciting and you definitely have to use your initiative! Would I do it again? You betcha!”
“Please book another session as this is an amazing event for everyone. It allows you to drift away into your own world as you are feeling the beat, very hypnotic. Amazing session to chill out in. Recommended for everyone.”
“I loved this event, it was brilliant fun and Simon Carver is such a good teacher. It's definitely worth running again.”
Dinner Shuffle at La Tasca (Wed. 29th April.)
“The whole event was very good. Good venue, good food. I would be quite happy to attend another event here or similar.”
“A fun night out meeting lots of people”
“It was a good laugh! La Tasca venue was very good ("buffet" type meal worked well for the shuffle event) and also Cabot Circus excellent choice as so convenient with the car park next door.”
“Great time last nite & a good venue with plenty of space”
“I really enjoyed this. People, food and wine all in one place - great! I would definitely come to another.”
Bluestone Multi-activity & Relaxation Weekend (Fri. 15th – Mon.18th May)
“I really am now in love with Bluestone and Spice most definitely need to make sure it is an annual event. The setting and views are outstanding, the accommodation is definitely 5 star and extremely comfortable and relaxing. I love the Pembrokeshire area so it fantastic to have the opportunity to go off site and explore at your own leisure. The meal on Saturday was amazing. I would also suggest next year booking the sports hall for badminton etc in advance.”
“Location and standard of accommodation were excellent - if only we could do something about the weather! We need to let people know how good the Carreg Las restaurant is - much better value for money than the other restaurants and not much difference in price. Thanks for organising a great weekend. Look forward to the next one.”
“Lurved the Bluestone weekend, but I wish I’d finished it off with a nice relax in the Spa!! The accommodation was excellent – yummy bathrooms. I liked the pub – especially Friday night’s singalong with the pianist. The best thing though, was being able to get out and enjoy the other things that Pembrokeshire has to offer – it’s a beautiful County. I’ll definitely go back next year – but make sure the weather’s good enough for the seal-spotting boats to be going out!!!!”
Off-Road Karting (Sat. 7th Mar.)
“I thoroughly enjoyed the karting and would definitely be interested in repeating the adventure”
“Needless to say was just getting the hang of it by the end so may well go again and probably enjoy it more. Certainly an event that should be on again.”
Hélélé: Live Music And Food (Wed. 11th Mar.)
“What a brill first Spice event. I love live music, but it's always even more special when you're close to the action and can see, as well as hear, fabulous musicians giving their all. Brill music, food and company. I would definitely go to the restaurant again and to see Helele again. More events like this please!”
“Great night, very good value for money as the food was lovely and the band good.”
“Just to let you know I thoroughly enjoyed the evening last night. I would welcome more of the same.”
“Loved it , It was a cracking music session ......Cant resist those rhythms and beats”
Falconry Half-Day Experience (Sat. 14th Mar.)
“The day was really good - such an unusual experience and the guide we had on the day was excellent. Would definitely recommend it!”
“The falconry half day was absolutely fabulous. Seeing the birds so close up, having them on our fist, and seeing them going through their paces was a really unusual and thrilling experience. Our guide, the falconer was so friendly and informative, he made the whole experience very personal and interesting. I would heartily recommend it. The centre was beautiful and in a gorgeous setting. Lunch was excellent, and the cream tea at the end was a perfect ending of a lovely day.”
Go-Ape (Sun. 29th Mar.)
“It was a really fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Thanks for organising.”
“I had a brilliant time at Go Ape. I would recommend this event to anyone who wants to challenge themselves mentally and physically whilst also having a great laugh. The SPICE organising before event was excellent as usual. After our safety briefing and training session we were all off, swinging through the trees, manoeuvring ourselves through various obstacles and challenges, stopping only to watch other SPICE folk in various predicaments or simply flying through the air. I really did have a great laugh. The price was also very reasonable for a good few hours of fun and adventure. Many thanks.”
“Company great, amazing time!”
Walk: Dunraven Bay (Sat. 4th Apr.)
“Smashing location, friendly pub with great food and such marvelous company. What more could anyone want.”
“Really enjoyed the meal and walk yesterday. Would definitely do it again, as well as walks in other places. Nice way to start my Easter hols!”
“Thoroughly enjoyed the walk! Was really pleased that I went!”
